born 1956 in Helsinki. Studied Theology 1977-80 in Lidingö (Stockholm), 1980-1996 in Turku (Åbo), Finnland. Mag. Theol 1986, Liz. Theol 1993, Dr. Theol. 1996. Priest 1980-89, Journalist 1987-93. Since 1989 various assignments at the Theological Faculty of ÅBO AKADEMI UNIVERSITY. Since 1999 Docent in the field of Old Testament Exegetics. Since 1999 Chairman of the Finnish Chapter of Jad Vashem (an international society fostering the memory of the Holocaust).
